07 May Celebrating 25 Years
On the 8th of May 1995 I opened The Fisherman’s Gallery to exhibit my own paintings alongside my favourite artist Sheena Ridley and other local artists.
We partied, market traders, locals and friends. Enduring friendships and connections were made that night at an event that was long remembered in this then sleepy village.
25 years later, I like to think of the Rossouw Modern as still an epicenter of enjoyment and connectivity for all art lovers in what is now a (#preCovid) bustling, prosperous seaside town – many days will find me hosting lunch on the stoep and any passing visitor is likely to find themselves invited into my gallery with a glass of local wine.
Sit back and enjoy.
