The use of the “toy soldier” and “comic” backdrops, as well as news clipping backdrops, all serve the purpose of reminding us how we constantly desensitize ourselves and our young generation to violence and war and conflict and , and through simple toys and comics, and the news and video games, etc, we accept these things as cool, normal, fake, not-real issues.
